CL-5 ◦ Lyre Basic Easel

The Cappelletto CL-5 is a lyre basic easel of oiled seasoned beech wood, light and handy for strength and durability. The base dimension are 59×68 cm (23″x27″) and the height is 150 cm (59″). It can hold canvases up to 120 cm (47″) high and 4,5 cm (2″) thickness. A back wing nut system allows adjusting the height of the canvas tray and the inclination of the centre pole. The easel is arranged for the application of optional accessories Cappelletto for further storage space (easel trays ET-1, ET-2) and to provide a handy container (hanging colours boxes CA-4 and CA-6) to be applied by a simple joint system without screws. The lyre basic easel is ideal not only for painting, but also for the exhibition of paintings, canvases, posters, brochures, magazines, books, catalogues, menus, boards, handmade and artistic articles. Thanks to its light weight, this easel is suitable to be moved within structures such as museums, galleries, schools, hotels, restaurants, bars, exhibitions or outdoors such as squares, terraces, open galleries, gardens and parks. When not in use, it can be folded back on itself with one easy motion for space-saving.
Even though a system for locking the canvas is not present, the CL-5 can be used for painting as well. In this case, it is sufficient to remember that the tray which holds the canvas is the only supporting and anchoring point.

There are other two versions. There is the varnished version (CL-5V) and the elegant Plexiglass transparent version (CL-5 PLEX). The CL-5 is delivered fully assembled, ready for use or pre-assembled, with instructions for an easy assembling.
